General Mills is recalling more than 735,000 Pillsbury bread rolls over concerns the products may contain glass.
The recall covers certain frozen Pillsbury bread roll dough products, including “Hard Roll Dough” and “Kaiser Roll Dough,” according to a recall notice published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The FDA designated the recall as a Class II recall on July 13, meaning use of the affected products could cause “temporary or medically reversible” health consequences.

“Out of an abundance of caution, in mid-June, we issued a voluntary recall of two frozen dough products baked onsite and sold exclusively at Walmart in-store bakeries in the United States,” General Mills said in a statement. “This voluntary recall is limited in scope, highly contained and all potential impacted product has been removed.”

The recall covers 3,080 cases of Pillsbury “Hard Roll Dough,” with 180 units per case. The products carry “Better if Used by” dates of Oct. 12, 2026, and Oct. 13, 2026, and lot numbers 11JUN6JL and 12JUN6JL.

Also included are 1,260 cases of Pillsbury “Kaiser Roll Dough,” with 144 units per case. Those products have a “Better if Used by” date of Oct. 13, 2026, and lot number 12JUN6JL.
In total, the recalled products amount to approximately 735,840 rolls.

According to the FDA, the affected products were distributed in Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wyoming.
Big picture view:
The recall follows several recent food safety alerts issued by the agency. Earlier this month, the FDA upgraded a recall of certain Utz Quality Foods potato chips to its highest risk classification, warning the products could cause serious health consequences or death if contaminated with salmonella.

General Mills did not immediately respond to FOX Business’ request for comment.
