A supermarket manager in Pueblo has been honored for his heroism after he rushed to save a child that had run into oncoming traffic.
Security footage from Super King El Rey del Ahorro showed the child running into a busy roadway. A woman is seen chasing after her but appeared to fall before she could grab the child.
That’s when Luis Cruz jumped into action and raced to save the child before she was almost hit by a silver van.

Local perspective:
Cruz was awarded with 20,000 pesos (about $1,180) for his heroic efforts and was also named the supermarket’s Manager of the Year.
