MONROE, Ga. – Rashod Resheavous Bateman, the 26-year-old Baltimore Ravens wide receiver, was arrested in Georgia earlier this summer.
He faces felony and misdemeanor charges after a domestic dispute in Monroe left a woman and a baby injured by shattered vehicle glass, according to police arrest warrants.

What we know:
Monroe police officers responded to a dispute at a restaurant on S. Broad Street during the early morning of June 3.
Investigators reported that Bateman used an object to smash the windshield and driver’s side window of a 2021 Mercedes-Benz while a woman and 3-month-old were inside.
The shattering glass caused multiple small facial cuts to the woman, with officers noting glass was embedded in her face.
Police also reported finding glass in the infant’s hair and car seat, alongside markings showing Bateman allegedly tried to puncture a rear tire with a screwdriver.
Monroe is about 40 miles east of Atlanta.

The backstory:
According to affidavits filed in Walton County Superior Court, the initial dispute began at a home about 15 miles north.
The woman suffered multiple facial contusions during the original altercation before driving to Broad Street.
Warrant filings show Bateman was formally charged on June 3 with first-degree criminal damage to property, family violence battery, and reckless conduct.

Multiple outlets are reporting that the Ravens have publically stated they are aware of the accusations and are cooperating with law enforcement.

It remains unclear if the victim or the infant required formal hospital treatment for the glass lacerations and facial contusions.
