HOUSTON – A teen has been charged with capital murder in the deadly shooting of a 19-year-old man in Houston earlier this month.

Crishaad Adams, 17, was arrested on Friday in the death of Jose Acosta.
19-year-old killed in Houston shooting
The backstory:
Acosta was killed in a shooting on Corder Street, near Springhill Street, on Houston’s south side on August 3.
Police say Acosta and his 15-year-old brother were in their vehicle when they were robbed at gunpoint by three male suspects.

As Acosta tried to drive away, police say the suspects started shooting toward the vehicle, shooting Acosta. His brother was not injured.
Acosta was taken to the hospital, but he passed away the next day.
Police say the investigation led to Adams being identified as a suspect.
