Born in Tennessee, the “Queen of Country,” sold over 100 million records and earned 11 Grammy Awards and 55 nominations during her decades-long career.
The country icon was also an avid philanthropist, founding the “Imagination Library” in 1995 to promote children’s literacy. She was 80 years old.
