Authorities said the Black male, who was approximately 35-years-old, did not comply with those commands.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> <!-- --><\/p>\n<p>Houston police stated a team of officers then began to approach the vehicle when the driver&#8217;s side door opened up, the Black male inside made a movement as to show officers he had a potential weapon.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/houstonmovingjournal.com\/?p=6552\">New World Screwworm cases rise to 32 as Texas battles outbreak<\/a><\/p>\n<p> <!-- --><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s when shots were fired by officers on the scene.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> <!-- --><\/p>\n<p>Following the conclusion of the shooting, authorities said the officers backed off, waited until the scene was secure.
