The manufacturer of Pedigree canned dog food has issued a voluntary recall of two of its products due to possible\u00a0metal and plastic contamination.<\/p>

What we know:<\/p>

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) says Mars Petcare US, Inc. issued the recall for two lots of Pedigree Can High Protein Chopped Chicken & Duck Flavor 13.2oz for dogs after their quality control process determined the two lots had been sent to a third-party vendor for destruction, but it was discovered later that the products were fraudulently diverted and sold into the marketplace in the United States.<\/p>
