TYLER, Texas<\/strong> – <\/span>The City of Tyler\u2019s Police Department announced that they are seeking information into the shooting of a 5-year-old child who was critically injured at a Tyler apartment complex.<\/p>

What we know:<\/p>

Tyler police said officers responded around 10:45 p.m. May 29 to a shooting at the Victory Park Apartments, located at 2700 block of N. Grand Ave. Officers found a 5-year-old child suffering from a gunshot wound.\u00a0<\/p>

The child was taken to a local hospital before being flown to Dallas, where the child remained in critical condition, according to police.\u00a0<\/p>

Investigators recovered multiple shell casings at the scene. No other injuries were reported. Police said the suspect remained at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.<\/p>

The investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>
