Approximately 100,000 Honda and Acura vehicles are being recalled over an issue that the manufacturer explained began with a natural disaster.\u00a0<\/p>

Why you should care:<\/p>

More than a dozen different models, ranging in year from 2016 to 2026 and including some of the most popular ones the company makes, are affected by the recall.\u00a0<\/p>

Honda, which owns the Acura nameplate, explained in its National Highway Traffic Safety Administration filing that a defect could cause the front passenger airbag to deploy even when it should not, such as when there is a child or a child seat there.<\/p>

The NHTSA filing included a list of all models included in the recall. Numbers of potentially affected vehicles listed in the report indicate that only a limited number of vehicles for each model are included in the recall.<\/p>
