The backstory:<\/p>

The Boots of Honor display \u2014 7,470 individual combat boots, each representing a fallen service member who made the ultimate sacrifice, was on display May 16\u201320 at Franklin Bicentennial Park in Franklin, TN. \u00a0<\/p>

At the memorial, visitors walked among rows of boots, where each one is marked with a name, rank, and story of service.\u00a0<\/p>
