Raaw Energy is recalling all of its dog food products that were made between July and December of last year, along with a batch from March, after state regulators collected samples and found they all tested positive for listeria.\u00a0<\/p>

The recall expands on a previous advisory from January 2026. Here\u2019s what to know:\u00a0<\/p>

Timeline:<\/p>

According to the Food and Drug Administration, the recall involves all Raaw Energy dog food products made between July 17, 2025 and Dec. 23, 2025, as well as one batch from March 31.\u00a0<\/p>

“Since the original issuance of this advisory in January 2026, the FDA has received additional consumer complaints of illness in animals who have consumed recalled product,” the FDA said in the notice.\u00a0<\/p>

What we know:<\/p>

The Connecticut and New Jersey departments of agriculture tested eight samples of the dog food after a dog illness was reported in Connecticut. The FDA says all eight samples tested positive for “pathogenic bacteria.”<\/p>

The products are packaged in 2-pound or 5-pound clear plastic tubes, sealed on each end with a metal clip. Products are sold frozen in brown cardboard boxes containing 5 to 20 clear plastic tubes. The cardboard boxes have white stick-on labels identifying the product flavor, ingredients and date code.\u00a0<\/p>

What we don’t know:<\/p>

It\u2019s unclear if the recall will expand to include more Raaw Energy products.\u00a0<\/p>

What they’re saying:<\/p>

“While not all products from this period tested positive, this action is being taken out of an abundance of caution,” the company said in a press release. “Some products produced during this timeframe were not tested, and bacterial presence was identified during the same period. As a result, products manufactured within these dates could possibly be affected.<\/p>

“To better serve our customers, we will be temporarily stopping all production of dog food effective May 21, 2026. This pause is necessary so we can carefully evaluate current issues, address them properly, and take appropriate corrective actions.<\/p>

“As part of this process, we will be resurfacing key areas to make them smoother, more sanitary, and easier to clean. All drains and sewer lines will be thoroughly cleaned and treated, and additional cleaning efforts will be made on the evaporators.”<\/p>

Where were the products sold?\u00a0<\/h2>
