ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo.<\/strong> – <\/span>A St. Charles County police officer came to the rescue in an unusual situation \u2014 while off duty at a bowling alley with his family.<\/p>

According to the St. Charles County Police Department, Officer Brown was enjoying a night of bowling when he noticed a young girl trapped inside a claw machine arcade game.<\/p>

Faced with what the department jokingly described as “every parent\u2019s fear,” Brown quickly stepped in to help.\u00a0<\/p>

Armed with determination and a few dollars\u2019 worth of attempts, the veteran officer managed to maneuver the claw machine controls and safely free the child.<\/p>

Authorities didn’t elaborate on how the girl ended up inside the machine or how the officer was able to get her out of it.\u00a0<\/p>

The department praised Brown\u2019s calm response and sense of duty, noting that he reunited the girl with her family before returning to his own family\u2019s bowling game.<\/p>

“Just another reminder that the officers of the St. Charles County Police Department are always ready to serve the community \u2014 on and off duty,” the department said in a social media post.<\/p>
