ZWILLING J.A. Henckels has recalled about 113,440 electric kettles in the United States after reports that the kettle handles can loosen and detach, causing hot liquid to spill and posing a serious burn risk.<\/p>

The recall, announced May 14, affects ENFINIGY 1.5-liter Electric Kettles and ENFINIGY Pro 1.5-liter Electric Kettles sold nationwide between December 2019 and February 2026. In addition to the U.S. recall, about 43,963 units were sold in Canada and another 48 in Mexico.<\/p>

Why you should care:<\/p>

According to the company, the kettle\u2019s handle can separate from the body during use, potentially spilling boiling water or other hot contents onto consumers. Zwilling said it has received 163 reports of handles loosening or separating, including five incidents connected to handle separation. One of those incidents resulted in a reported second-degree burn.<\/p>

The recalled stainless-steel kettles were sold in several colors, including black, silver, rose, gold and pure white. “ZWILLING” is printed on the kettle, and affected model numbers include 53101-200 and 53101-201 for the standard ENFINIGY Electric Kettle, as well as models 53101-500 through 53101-504 for the ENFINIGY Electric Kettle Pro line.<\/p>

Consumers can find the model number and brand name on the bottom of the kettle and on the power base.<\/p>

The products were sold at HomeGoods stores nationwide and online through zwilling.com for between $120 and $200.<\/p>

What you can do:<\/p>

Consumers are being urged to stop using the kettles immediately and contact Zwilling for a full refund. The company said customers in the U.S. should visit its recall website for instructions on disabling the product by unplugging the kettle, cutting the power cord and uploading a photo before disposing of it safely.<\/p>
