A variety of noodle packages sold at two popular grocery chains was recalled this week because of the potential risk to people with peanut allergies.<\/p>

Big picture view:<\/p>

Fly By Jing recalled some lots of its Creamy Sesame Noodles because the packs may have been exposed to cross-contact from peanuts, the FDA reported. The affected noodles were sold in single packets and 4-packs at Whole Foods and Thrive Market stores between February 1 and May 8, according to the recall notice.<\/p>

Why you should care:<\/p>

The FDA explained the noodles could pose a threat of serious or life-threatening illness for people allergic to peanuts. Peanuts are not supposed to be an ingredient in the Sesame Noodles, but the company discovered its third-party manufacturer had used equipment that processes peanuts for another product in a way that could have caused cross-contamination.<\/p>

By the numbers:<\/p>

The recalled noodles have Best By dates of 10\/15\/2026, 12\/6\/2026, or 3\/23\/2027. The barcode number for the single packets is 8-50052-23988-6 and\u00a08-50052-23991-6 for the 4-pack.<\/p>

No other flavors were affected by the recall.<\/p>

What you can do:<\/p>

Anyone who purchased the noodles is asked to return them to the store where it was purchased for a full refund, the FDA stated. More information is available by calling Fly By\u2019s consumer hotline at 866-862-2645 or by emailing\u00a0recall@flybyjing.com<\/u>.\u00a0<\/p>
