As millions of Americans prepare for summer vacations amid rising travel costs, a new report from personal finance website WalletHub is highlighting the nation\u2019s most affordable and accessible travel destinations for 2026.<\/p>

According to the study, roughly 72% of Americans plan to travel this summer, with 37% expecting to take more than one trip. But with\u00a0airfare<\/u>,\u00a0gas prices<\/u> and lodging costs continuing to climb, many travelers are looking for destinations that deliver the best bang for your buck.<\/p>

To do so, WalletHub analyzed 100 of the nation\u2019s largest metropolitan areas across 41 indicators, including airfare costs, hotel prices, attractions, dining affordability, safety and weather, to determine which cities offer the best overall\u00a0summer travel<\/u> experience without breaking the bank.<\/p>

Atlanta, Orlando ranked top travel destinations<\/h2>

By the numbers:<\/p>

Topping the rankings was Atlanta, praised for its combination of low-cost flights, wide range of attractions and vibrant nightlife. WalletHub found that nonstop flights to Atlanta from major U.S. cities could cost as little as $317.\u00a0<\/p>

The metro area also scored highly for its abundance of spas, shopping centers, swimming pools and ice cream shops, making it attractive for families and young travelers.<\/p>
