What we know:

According to police, the man may have been in crisis.

Police say he may have had a knife but dropped it while on the roof.

Alief ISD says the school was placed on lockdown due to the unidentified, non-Alief ISD man.

First responders got him down, and officials say a local law enforcement agency transported him.

What they’re saying:

In a message to families, the district said, “Students and staff who were in the building during the incident were safe. The investigation is completed, the lockdown has been lifted, and the day will continue as scheduled.

What we don’t know:

The man’s identity was not released, and it’s unclear if he will face any charges.
