Krista Nicole Hefner, who filmed the incident on July 2, said that she was sitting in the stands with friends as the skydiver entered the arena carrying a large American flag.

“As he came down, I felt an incredible sense of pride for my nation. But when he crashed, I felt frightened and sad,” Hefner told video licensing company Storyful. “I was concerned for him because he had landed just a few feet away from me,”

The video captures the flag appearing to catch on a nearby tree during the descent, sending the skydiver into a tent situated close to spectators.
According to media reports, a spokesperson for the rodeo said the skydiver suffered only a minor cut to his lip, was otherwise in good condition, and was expected to skydive again.
