The USDT previously had a Treasury Hunt website for people to find and claim unredeemed or matured Treasury securities. The backstory:
The National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators (NAUPA) is an affiliate of the National Association of State Treasurers, the unclaimed property programs for all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, as well as several foreign jurisdictions.
The organization works to reunite unclaimed assets with rightful owners. NAUPA says in Fiscal Year 2023, they returned over $5 billion to rightful owners.
