TEXAS CITY, Texas – Texas City authorities have issued a shelter-in-place for some following a reported fire at a local refinery.

The fire is said to be at the Marathon Refinery near Highway 146 and 5th Avenue South.
Police say a shelter-in-place is in effect from 14th Street to 34th Street. Those who are in the area are asked to stay indoors until an “all clear” has been issued.
