HOUSTON – An investigation is underway following a deadly shooting in southeast Houston on Thursday afternoon, officials said.

What we know:
According to authorities, the shooting occurred on Blackhawk Ridge Lane, near Monroe Road, just before 4 p.m.

Police said they were called out to the area in reference to a drive-by shooting.
Preliminary information by authorities stated some sort of fight occurred that led to the shooting.

Officials said one man has been pronounced dead on the scene. Another person, also said to be a male, was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Police said they will be searching the neighborhood for surveillance video.
What we don’t know:
Authorities could not provide a motive behind the shooting.
The ages of the victim and the other person taken to the hospital were not released.
Officials added it’s unclear if they’re looking for a suspect as the investigation is ongoing.
