Two brands of superfood capsules sold on some of the world’s largest online marketplaces were recalled over Salmonella fears.

Several lots of TNVitamins Ultra Potent Complete Green Superfood and Doctor’s Pride Complete Green Superfood Ultra Potent Moringa Capsules (120 count) were pulled from shelves Wednesday, the Food and Drug Administration reported on its recall website.
The capsules were sold nationwide via online platforms that included Amazon, Target, TikTik Shop, Walmart, and the companies’ websites, tnvitamins.com and doctorspride.com. The FDA statement noted that no other TNVitamins products are affected by the recall.

Why you should care:
The voluntary recall was issued after the products were linked to an investigation into dietary supplements with moringa in them. The FDA indicated the capsules are possibly contaminated with Salmonella, which can cause serious and potentially fatal infections.

What you can do:
The capsules were sold in HDPE supplement bottles with white caps. Each bottle was filled with 120 clear capsules filled with green moringa powder, the FDA reported.
Anyone who purchased affected lots of the supplements (see list below) is asked to stop taking them and throw them out immediately. Refunds can be requested by emailing the company at [email protected]. The purchaser’s name, the order number, and a photo of the product with the lot codes are required.
