A recall for 195,000 heated blankets sold on Amazon after burn injuries were reported from use of the product.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, JKMax is aware of 577 reports of blankets smoking, melting or burning because of overheating heating elements, including 53 burn injuries.

CPSC officials added that the internal wire heating elements of the blankets and pads can overheat, posing fire and burn risks to consumers.

These products are also made of polyester fabric and are machine washable. Consumer Product Safety Commission officials said the blankets and pads were sold in multiple sizes, and both have a detachable white remote that can be used to adjust the heat.
The products were sold on Amazon between September 2022 and July 2026 as both a one-pack or a two-pack.
