Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Adventure is back in operation after a four-night cruise last week was canceled due to technical issues leaving thousands of travelers’ plans ruined.

What we know:

The Disney Adventure was scheduled to depart Singapore on May 7 on a four-night cruise but due to a mechanical issue, the cruise was canceled after passengers had boarded the vessel.

What they’re saying:

“The Disney Adventure remains in port in Singapore as our teams continue to address a mechanical issue. As the issue has not been resolved in the timeframe required to start this voyage, this current sailing has been canceled. We apologize to our guests and are working with them directly to provide support for their travel needs,” a Disney spokesperson said in a statement.

Disney Cruise Line said all passengers received a full refund and an overnight stay at area hotels and assistance with flight changes to return home.  In addition, Disney provided $500 per stateroom for incidentals and 50% off a future Disney cruise. 

The Disney Adventure is Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship and made its maiden voyage from its home port in Singapore on March 10.
