Nearly 25,000 pounds of frozen buffalo chicken products are being recalled after they were produced without federal inspection, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Wednesday.

Boston-based Shanghai Ravioli Corporation is recalling about 24,900 pounds of frozen, not-ready-to-eat buffalo chicken products.
The recall includes cardboard boxes containing 100 pieces of Buffalo Chicken Rangoon and boxes containing 120 Benedetto’s Buffalo Chicken Mozzarella Sticks.
The products were made on various dates between July 8, 2025, and June 29, 2026. Their labels list sell-by dates ranging from July 8, 2026, through June 29, 2027.
The frozen products were distributed to foodservice locations in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Why you should care:
FSIS said it is concerned that some of the recalled items could still be in foodservice refrigerators or freezers. Businesses that purchased the products should not serve them and should throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
According to FSIS, the recalled products carry false inspection marks bearing establishment number “EST. 18004,” which does not have a federal grant of inspection.
Food made without inspection could contain undeclared allergens, harmful bacteria or other contaminants that could pose a health and safety risk, FSIS said.
The issue was identified during FSIS surveillance activities. No confirmed illnesses or injuries have been reported in connection with the recalled products. Anyone concerned about an illness or injury should contact a healthcare provider.
